The Laboratory Analyst II is responsible for conducting advanced and routine analytical testing to ensure the quality and integrity of products and processes. The role involves adhering to strict quality assurance protocols, assisting senior staff in reporting, and contributing to the efficient operation of the laboratory and other departments where required (including offshore operations). The Laboratory Analyst II plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards expected by the company and its clients.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct routine analytical tests and procedures in compliance with company requirements.
  • Follow documented Authorities, Procedures, and Work Instructions.
  • Perform testing aligned with approved QA protocols and maintain awareness of Quality Assurance in all tasks.
  • Adhere to allocated timeframes for each test and escalate delays or issues as needed.
  • Identify and report Non-Conformances using the approved reporting systems and support corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of quality by refusing to accept substandard work from colleagues or suppliers.
  • Support the preparation of interim and final client reports in collaboration with senior staff.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for legal compliance and ethical behaviour at all times.
  • Complete all worksheets, data forms, records, and administrative forms legibly and distribute or file these in the appropriate location.
  • Assist with setting up, adjusting, maintaining, and operating laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable standards and workplace practice and maintaining workplace cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with different departments to ensure smooth operations and data consistency.
  • Respect and protect company and client confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant laboratory experience, including exposure to analytical testing and data processing.
  • Educated to a minimum HNC or equivalent in a science subject, or relevant experience.
  • Valid BOSIET and MIST offshore survival qualifications (desirable).
