We currently have a vacancy for a Depot Manager at our Telford Depot.
The Role: To lead the depot team to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of our service. Leading by example to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of employees under your control and those affected by your acts. Operate under the management of the Area and Regional Managers and implement policies, with priority given to Health & Safety issues. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders – customers, local authorities and the wider team. To review the programme of works, liaise with other supervisors to ensure efficient use of the depot resources, and that sufficient resources of the correct competencies are available to deliver the works.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Able to demonstrate previous experience of leading a team in an operational environment, to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of work.
- Experience in a similar role ideally within the Construction, utilities, highways, local authorities, or Traffic Management industry.
- Ability to manage against budget and control costs within the depot.
- Be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and experience of leading teams in comparable roles.
- Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
