We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Highspeed Project Manager working to cover the North East region for Core Highways.

The role: Overseeing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and completing projects in line with, or under budget. This role will require extensive travel throughout the North East region and occasional national travel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Business Development and External Customers (Win Work): Ensure all works under your control are 'target priced'/quoted in line with the Complete all relevant weekly billing/applications. Participate and contribute to scheme planning meetings/customer site or pre-let meetings, when requested.
  • Operations (Deliver Work): To produce requested CAD drawings as required within agreed timeframes. Ensure work conforms to applicable requirements and specifications. To liaise with site staff to ensure works are delivered as planned/agreed. Accurately maintain Company Drawing Register as required. To action any changes to scheme drawings as instructed. Plan workload to ensure scheme drawings are completed within agreed timeframes. To get any/all sub-con authorised prior to quote being accepted. Invoices in line with quoted works for all sub-con before sending for authorisation. Ensure thorough H/O's are issued detailing site‑specific requirements and all relevant contact information.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of booking road space for Local Authority and National Highways
  • Lantra TSCO and Foreman qualifications required
  • Understanding of all High Speed Operations
  • Experience in Project Management of TM desirable but not essential
