Job Title: Residential Support Worker – Residential Children’s Home Location: DE21 Morley, Derbyshire Salary: Up to £24,835.20 per annum (including sleeps) Please note, applicants must hold a Driving License and prior expeirnce working with young people. Job Summary: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Join a dynamic team as a Residential Support Worker at a Children’s Home in Derby. You will play a vital role in providing day-to-day care for our young residents, supporting them in various activities, education, and statutory meetings. Working within a dedicated, caring team, you will ensure the homes are maintained to a high standard, including cooking, cleaning, and safeguarding the welfare of our young people at all times. Key Responsibilities: Support young people in activities, education, and statutory meetings. Work collaboratively with a team to maintain the home’s standards. Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of young people. Participate in household duties such as cooking and cleaning. Person Specification: Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing. Basic arithmetic skills. Experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviors. Teamwork skills and the ability to plan and coordinate activities. Understanding of the issues faced by children and young people. Awareness of the impact of abuse and oppression on young people. Commitment to treating others with dignity and respect.
