Electrical Construction Manager - Rail
Location: West London
Salary: £70,000 £80,000 + package
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Construction Manager to join an established M&E contractor delivering major rail and commercial fit-out projects across West London.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management, with proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects as well as rail projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee electrical works from pre-construction through to completion.
- Lead electrical site teams, subcontractors, engineers and supervisors.
- Coordinate electrical installations with mechanical, construction and project teams.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, programmes and technical documentation.
- Manage project progress, programme and site coordination.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and specialist resources.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs and coordination requirements.
- Attend site and project meetings, providing regular progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and handover.
- Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager, Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Site Manager or similar.
- Strong commercial fit-out experience is essential.
- Previous rail project experience is essential.
- Proven experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations and construction processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors, engineers and site teams.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Experience taking projects through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- SMSTS and relevant CSCS/ECS qualifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
