About the Role
We are seeking two Restoration Technicians to join our Reading Area team. You will attend residential and commercial properties to carry out restoration and mitigation works following water, fire, and mould damage. This is a field-based role working across the Reading region and surrounding postcode areas, with work allocated to reduce travel time and improve efficiency.
Working Pattern
- 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
- Start and finish at client sites
- No overtime entitlement (salary reflects revised structure and reduced travel requirements)
- Work allocated across Reading and surrounding areas
On-Call Rota
- 1 in 10 weeks on-call requirement
- On-call allowance: £30 per weekday, £50 per weekend day
- Paid even if not called out
- Additional earning potential up to approx. £250 per on-call week
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client sites to assess and carry out restoration works
- Perform water, fire, mould, and related mitigation tasks
- Operate drying and restoration equipment safely and effectively
- Complete accurate job reports and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers and insurers where required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures at all times
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and stock
- Work closely with Lead Technicians and wider regional team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in restoration, mitigation, or a related trade preferred
- Understanding of water damage, drying processes, or building remediation
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good time management and reliability
- Full UK driving licence required
