Job Overview
Position: Permanent Fire Suppression / Water Mist Pipefitter
Location: Central London & Greater London sites
Salary: Up to £55,000 basic (depending on experience)
Package: Company van, fuel card, private pension and enhanced overtime rates
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and test commercial and industrial water mist and fire suppression pipe networks.
- Work with specialized piping materials, including stainless steel schedule 40 and high-pressure screwed/pressed fittings.
- Interpret complex isometric and mechanical installation drawings on-site.
- Complete 1st and 2nd fix pipe installations within commercial buildings, data centres, or plant rooms.
- Conduct pressure testing and assist with system commissioning handovers.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant fire suppression and health & safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven track record in commercial or industrial pipefitting.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience installing water mist or heavy fire sprinkler/suppression systems.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or equivalent trade background.
- Valid CSCS card or Blue/Gold JIB-PMES registration.
- Ability to read and work from detailed technical schematics.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
