Job Title: Ofsted Registered Manager Location:  London, UB6 Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to oversee a brand-new 2-bed children's home, Solo, in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a high-quality residential service, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people in care. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a newly established home, where you will have a direct impact on the service’s development and success. Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for the management and day-to-day operations of the 2-bed children’s home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards. Develop and implement tailored care plans for each child, ensuring their individual needs and best interests are met. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care staff, providing regular training, support, and guidance. Maintain high standards of care and support to ensure positive outcomes for the children in the home. Ensure the home operates within budget and resources are efficiently managed. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, seeking feedback from staff and children to enhance the service provided. Foster strong working relationships with external agencies, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children in care. Ensure a strong focus on safeguarding and child protection, promoting the emotional and physical well-being of all residents. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within an Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home. Comprehensive knowledge of Ofsted regulations, child protection procedures, and safeguarding best practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and external professionals. Desirable Skills: Experience in managing or establishing a new residential service. A full, valid UK driving licence (strongly favourable). Benefits: Competitive salary up to £60,000.
