Core Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a busy and well-established metal fabrication workshop based in the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual looking to work on a variety of high-quality bespoke metalwork and structural steel projects within a professional and supportive environment.
You will be part of a skilled fabrication team delivering precision-built architectural and structural components used across commercial, residential, and private developments.
Key Responsibilities- Fabrication and welding of bespoke steel and architectural metalwork
- Working from detailed technical and fabrication drawings
- Producing high-quality items to exact specifications
- Supporting the wider production team to meet project deadlines
- Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards
- Operating efficiently within a modern workshop environment using advanced fabrication processes
- Staircases (feature, access, and structural)
- Walkways, gantries, and platforms
- Balustrades, handrails, and balconies
- Structural steel frameworks
- Custom architectural metal features
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to confidently read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and self-driven
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Flexible approach with the ability to prioritise workload
- Competitive pay: £15.00 – £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Estimated annual earning potential: £30,800 – £38,000 (including overtime)
