Quantity Surveyor – Healthcare Construction Location: Market Deeping (Office Based with Nationwide Site Travel) Working Pattern: Office Based with Travel to Projects Across the UK Sector: Healthcare Construction / Property Development Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus We are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and property development business delivering high-quality healthcare facilities across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to oversee the procurement and cost management of multiple developments nationwide, supporting projects from pre-construction through to final account. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost control, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery. Working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams, you will provide commercial expertise throughout the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead quantity surveying activities across multiple construction projects. Manage tendering and procurement processes. Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and financial reports. Provide advice on contract selection and contract documentation. Carry out full post-contract commercial duties, including variations, cost planning, final accounts, and dispute resolution. Develop detailed cost plans, risk registers, and mitigation strategies. Monitor project performance, budgets, and commercial milestones. Work closely with site teams and Contracts Managers to resolve commercial and project challenges. Prepare and present commercial and project performance reports to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key project stakeholders. Support estimating and pre-construction activities where required. Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team. Skills & Experience Candidates should demonstrate: Minimum of five years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Strong experience delivering both pre-contract and post-contract commercial services. Experience managing construction projects from inception through to completion. Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and cost management skills. Experience preparing CVRs, financial reporting, and commercial forecasts. Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities. Good knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract. Ability to identify commercial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Benefits Salary of £55,000–£75,000 depending on experience. Car allowance.
