About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a growing and ambitious Small Works division delivering high-quality electrical packages across commercial fit-out projects. The successful candidate will initially take responsibility for a £750k electrical package on a project in Hertfordshire before becoming a key member of a long-term, expanding team focused on strengthening and growing the company's electrical delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical small works and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
  • Lead the delivery of an initial £750k electrical package, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and specialist contractors.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans, and procurement schedules.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, valuations, and commercial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Small Works division and contribute to improving electrical project delivery processes.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the M&E or Building Services sector.
  • Strong background delivering commercial fit-out projects, including offices, retail units, restaurants, hospitality venues, and similar commercial environments.
  • Experience managing electrical packages ranging from small works projects through to projects valued at approximately £1m.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installations, project planning, procurement, commissioning, and handover processes.
  • Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and variations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and industry certifications preferred.
  • SMSTS, First Aid, and ECS/CSCS cards desirable.
