Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality, high-end developments in the Hereford area. This role requires a strong background in premium housebuilding, with a focus on delivering exceptional finishes, tight programme control, and uncompromising standards of quality and health & safety.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring build programmes are achieved, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from groundwork through to final handover
- Manage subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and programme compliance
- Drive the build programme, identifying and resolving delays proactively
- Ensure all works meet high-end residential quality standards and specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce strict health & safety compliance
- Coordinate materials, logistics, and site resources efficiently
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and client representatives
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
- Manage snagging, inspections, and final handover processes
- Promote a positive, productive, and safe site culture
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within high-end housebuilding
- Strong understanding of traditional and modern construction methods
- Track record of delivering luxury or bespoke residential projects
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to manage multiple trades and tight programmes
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Experience working on luxury housing developments or bespoke residential builds
- Familiarity with timber frame, traditional masonry, or mixed-method construction
- Experience managing sites from foundation to completion in live environments
