An established building services engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join its project delivery team. The company delivers electrical installation projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and life sciences. This is a site‑based position responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision and coordination of electrical works, ensuring delivery is safe, on programme, and compliant with required quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily electrical installation activities on site
  • Allocate labour and tasks in line with the contract programme and planned works
  • Coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors to ensure efficient sequencing and safe delivery alongside other trades
  • Monitor site progress, identifying delays, risks, or technical issues and reporting these to the Project or Contracts Manager
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal procurement teams to support timely delivery of materials, equipment, and plant
  • Ensure electrical installations are effectively coordinated with mechanical, construction, and other interface works
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality in line with company procedures, risk assessments, and method statements

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience supervising electrical works on construction or building services projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and on‑site coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements and site best practice
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Time‑served electrician background
  • Experience within sectors such as commercial fit‑out, healthcare, education, life sciences, or residential projects
  • SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent site safety qualification
  • Testing and inspection knowledge or relevant qualifications
