My client is looking for an E&I Engineer (EC&I) – Contract.

Location: Nottingham or Wymondham (Norwich)

Working model: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week on site

Contract duration: 6 months

Rate: Up to £51.27 per hour (inside IR35 to be confirmed, if applicable)

We are currently recruiting an E&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) Engineer to support ongoing engineering and project delivery activities. This role is suited to a mid-level engineer (5–10 years’ experience) who enjoys hands-on engineering work and producing high-quality technical deliverables, rather than managing projects.

You will be actively involved in the design, development, and delivery of Electrical and Instrumentation systems across safe areas and ATEX zoned environments, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Electrical and Instrumentation design for both safe area and hazardous (ATEX) environments
  • Produce and update detailed Electrical Power and Control design documentation, including:
  • Load analysis and discrimination studies
  • Load schedules and cable schedules
  • Functional Design Specifications / Control Philosophies
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
  • Cause & Effect diagrams
  • Instrument and I/O lists
  • Equipment data sheets
