M&E Quantity Surveyor Location: Central London Salary: £85,000–£120,000 + Excellent Benefits Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established M&E contractor delivering major projects across Central London. The successful candidate will work on high-value data centre, commercial, and life science projects, ranging from £20m to £50m in overall project value. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, the company is looking to appoint multiple M&E Quantity Surveyors, from intermediate through to Senior level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with long-term career prospects and exposure to some of the most technically demanding projects in the sector. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and financial aspects of M&E packages across major construction projects. Prepare, manage, and review valuations, variations, applications, and payments. Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure commercial performance is maintained. Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. Review and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement strategies. Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and manage monthly commercial reports. Assess variations, change control, and potential additional costs. Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and site teams. Ensure contractual obligations and commercial deadlines are met. Assist with final accounts and project close-out. Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. Provide commercial support and guidance to project teams. Requirements Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the construction or M&E sector. Experience working on major commercial, data centre, life science, or technically complex projects. Strong understanding of M&E subcontract packages and commercial management. Experience managing projects or packages valued at £20m+. Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, procurement, subcontract management, and final accounts. Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with project and site teams. Candidates from Quantity Surveyor through to Senior Quantity Surveyor level will be considered.
