The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced LV/AP Tester to join a leading electrical engineering team working on a major project in the Cambridge area. The role is site-based and will involve carrying out electrical inspection, testing, energisation and commissioning activities on LV systems, with all energisation works undertaken under instruction and in accordance with company procedures.
The project is easily accessible via Cambridge South Station, making commuting convenient from surrounding areas including Bishop's Stortford and beyond. Comprehensive internal training will be provided to enable successful candidates to become an Authorised Person (AP) for PME procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical inspection and testing of LV installations.
- Undertake energisation and de-energisation activities under authorised instruction.
- Complete testing documentation and certification accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations and company procedures.
- Follow safe systems of work and maintain the highest health & safety standards.
- Assist with fault finding and verification of electrical installations.
- Work closely with engineers and supervisors.
