We are currently looking for 2 x mechanically biased operatives for a project in Basingstoke (RG22). This role would suit candidates with a mechanical background (e.g. plumbers, HVAC, fitters, or similar), however this is not trade-specific work – it is more hands-on installation support requiring good site experience and physical capability.
The Role:
- Assisting with the lifting and installation of air conditioning units onto frames
- Working as a pair (2 operatives together, not part of a larger team)
- Physically demanding role – must be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual work
- Flexibility to work outside of your usual trade duties
Candidate Profile:
- Mechanically minded (plumbing, HVAC, fitting, or similar background)
- More skilled than a general labourer – must be reliable and site-experienced
- Comfortable with manual handling and installation work
- Able to work efficiently as part of a 2-man team
Location: Basingstoke – RG22
Duration: 1 week initially, with strong potential for extension
Working Hours: Company site hours: 07:30 – 18:00. Operatives do not have to work the full hours – flexibility available. Earlier/later start and finish times can be agreed.
Rate: £24.00 per hour. Some flexibility available for the right candidates. Air Conditioning Engineers – rate negotiable.
