Build a Specialist Recruitment Career with Core Group USA
Are you an ambitious recruiter looking for more than just another recruitment job? At Core Group USA, we specialise exclusively in recruiting professionals across the U.S. environmental consulting industry. Our clients range from boutique consultancies to some of North America's most respected engineering and environmental firms, and we recruit everything from experienced engineers/scientists to C-suite executives.
We're looking for a driven Recruitment Consultant to join our team, working directly alongside the division's highest performing recruiter. From day one, you'll work on live assignments, receive hands-on mentoring, and build expertise within a specialist market where quality, relationships, and long-term success are valued over high-volume recruitment.
If you're looking for a business where your progression is based on performance rather than time served, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
You'll begin as a dedicated 180 Recruitment Consultant, focusing on identifying, engaging, qualifying, and managing exceptional candidates across the U.S. environmental consulting market. You'll work on retained and exclusive assignments, partnering with some of the industry's leading firms while developing into a recognised market specialist. As you build experience and consistently deliver results, you'll have the opportunity to progress into a full 360 Recruitment Consultant, taking ownership of both client relationships and candidate delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage high-calibre candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, job boards, and our internal database.
- Conduct detailed qualification calls to understand candidates' technical experience, career aspirations, motivations, and suitability for confidential opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships with environmental professionals across the United States.
- Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, from initial outreach through to successful placement.
- Develop specialist knowledge of the U.S. environmental consulting market and become a trusted advisor to candidates.
- Work closely with senior recruiters to deliver retained and exclusive recruitment assignments for leading consulting and engineering firms.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission.
- Direct mentorship from the division's highest performing recruiter.
- Live vacancies and established client relationships from day one.
- A structured development plan with a clear pathway into a full 360 Recruitment Consultant role.
- The opportunity to recruit within a highly specialised, recession-resilient U.S. market.
- Ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
- Performance-based incentives, including Quarterly Lunch Clubs for consultants who achieve their targets.
- Annual incentive trips for top performers.
- Regular team events throughout the year, including Ascot, Christmas celebrations, and other social events.
- Merit-based career progression, where your development and earning potential are determined by your performance.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is ambitious, resilient, and commercially driven, and excited by the opportunity to build a long-term career in specialist recruitment. You'll ideally have:
- 1–3 years' recruitment experience, preferably within permanent recruitment.
- Experience recruiting within the U.S. market is highly desirable.
- A proven track record of working towards and achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A resilient, competitive, and commercially minded approach.
- A genuine desire to become a specialist within your market.
- The ability to commute to our Liverpool Street office Monday to Friday.
Working Hours
Our business operates exclusively within the U.S. market, with standard office hours of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday. As you'll be recruiting across multiple U.S. time zones, there will be opportunities to speak with clients and candidates outside of standard office hours. While this isn't expected every day, the highest-performing recruiters take ownership of their desk and recognize that being available when their market is active creates opportunities to build stronger relationships, generate more placements, and maximize their earnings.
Is This the Right Opportunity for You?
You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys building relationships, is motivated by success, takes ownership of your work, and wants to become a recognized specialist within your market. If you're looking for a business where you'll receive genuine mentorship, work on high-quality assignments, and have the opportunity to build a highly rewarding career, we'd love to hear from you.
