We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Systems Engineer with expertise in Fire, Intruder, Access Control, and CCTV systems. The role involves servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and completing small works installations for life safety and security systems, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Strong technical ability, organisation, and client-facing professionalism are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver service, maintenance, and repair works in line with company procedures and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with the FDA Operations Manager to plan and complete Preventative Maintenance (PM), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), and remedial works.
  • Participate in an out of hours on-call rota (1 in 3).
  • Complete commissioning, handover, and certification documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Support surveys, client liaison, and business development activities as required.

Duties

  • Service, maintain, commission, and install fire alarm systems.
  • Fault find, program, and modify Conventional, Addressable, and Wireless systems.
  • Service and install fire suppression systems.

Security Systems

  • Service, maintain, fault find, commission, and install Access control systems.
  • CCTV systems.

Operations & Planning

  • Collaborate with the FDA Operations Manager to manage resources and subcontractors.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling works.
  • Conduct system surveys and liaise with clients to deliver solutions.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience across fire and security systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).

33 days holiday including Christmas/New Year shutdown. Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00. Company vehicle, laptop/tablet, mobile phone, and uniform provided.
