Overview

Teaching Assistant role based in Cheltenham. Job Type: Temporary β€’ Duration: 3 months β€’ Location: Cheltenham β€’ Salary: Β£90 – Β£100 per day β€’ Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am 3.45pm

Core Education are working with a lovely primary school based in the Cheltenham area. They are keen to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to assist the class teacher and support their children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher to set up the classroom
  • Support all children within the class
  • Provide 1:1 support with children who have additional learning needs
  • Provide phonics support to children in class
  • Help teacher to clear away at the end of each day
  • Provide intervention support to children struggling academically within the class
  • Support children with reading and writing

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a classroom
  • Have recently worked with children in an educational or other similar setting
  • Ideally hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • DBS on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed
  • Able to provide professional references to cover the last two years of work
  • Able to start work in September 2025
