Overview
Teaching Assistant role based in Cheltenham. Job Type: Temporary β’ Duration: 3 months β’ Location: Cheltenham β’ Salary: Β£90 β Β£100 per day β’ Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am 3.45pm
Core Education are working with a lovely primary school based in the Cheltenham area. They are keen to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to assist the class teacher and support their childrenβs learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher to set up the classroom
- Support all children within the class
- Provide 1:1 support with children who have additional learning needs
- Provide phonics support to children in class
- Help teacher to clear away at the end of each day
- Provide intervention support to children struggling academically within the class
- Support children with reading and writing
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous experience working in a classroom
- Have recently worked with children in an educational or other similar setting
- Ideally hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- DBS on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed
- Able to provide professional references to cover the last two years of work
- Able to start work in September 2025
