Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Peterborough

Salary: Competitive depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am 3.45pm

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Support the class teacher to set up the classroom
• Support all children within the class
• Provide 1:1 support with children who have additional learning needs
• Provide phonics support to children in class
• Help teacher to clear away at the end of each day
• Provide intervention support to children struggling academically within the class
• Support children with reading and writing

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Requirements / Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a classroom
• Have recently worked with children in an educational or other similar setting
• Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEND)
• Ideally hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• DBS on the update service or be willing to have a new one processed
• Able to provide professional references to cover the last two years of worK
