Core Clapton Health, Happiness and Movement was founded to bring health, happiness and movement to the whole community. Based in an Edwardian hall in Clapton, we offer classes, activities and therapies specialising in Osteopathy. As a registered charity, we provide affordable osteopathy to those in the community that can’t afford it whilst encouraging best practice through research and learning with a long‑term mission to encourage drug‑free pain relief across all healthcare professions. We believe everybody has the right to a pain‑free life.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
- Research and write clear, engaging blog posts on osteopathy and related health topics.
- Produce patient‑friendly educational content on issues such as back pain, posture, sports injuries, and rehabilitation.
- Ensure all written content is accurate, accessible, and aligned with the charity’s tone and values.
- Assist with planning and maintaining a content schedule.
Social Media Management:
- Create and publish posts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Respond to comments and messages in a professional and friendly manner.
- Support community engagement by participating in relevant online discussions.
- Maintain consistent branding and tone across all platforms.
Photography, Video & Design:
- Capture photos and short videos within the clinic (with appropriate consent).
- Create educational and promotional video content (e.g. reels, short explainers, behind‑the‑scenes content).
- Edit basic video and photo content for social media use.
- Design posters, flyers, and digital graphics using Canva or similar tools.
- Produce marketing materials for both online and print use.
Website & SEO Support:
- Upload and format blog posts on the clinic website.
- Assist with basic search engine optimisation (SEO), including keywords and headings.
- Help ensure website content remains up to date and relevant.
- Support efforts to improve local search visibility for osteopathy services.
Google Business Profile & Online Presence:
- Update Google Business Profile with posts, photos, and service information.
- Support accurate and consistent online listings for the clinic.
- Assist in improving visibility in local search results.
- Help maintain the clinic’s digital presence across platforms.
- Assist in creating simple email newsletters.
- Share clinic updates, educational content, and blog highlights.
- Support patient engagement and re‑engagement communications.
- Encourage patients to leave Google reviews.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews professionally where appropriate.
- Support efforts to maintain a positive and trusted online reputation.
Local Outreach & Promotion:
- Research local outreach opportunities such as gyms, sports clubs, universities, and community groups.
- Support distribution of printed marketing materials (posters, flyers, leaflets).
- Assist in developing partnerships with local organisations.
- Help raise awareness of osteopathy within the local community.
General Marketing Support:
- Support wider marketing campaigns and charity initiatives.
- Maintain consistent branding across all marketing materials.
- Ensure all content follows healthcare communication standards and respects patient confidentiality.
- Contribute ideas to improve engagement and visibility.
Other Duties:
- Attend regular Team meetings with the Marketing & Operations Manager and other senior management.
- Fulfil any duties requested by the Director or Trustees which are consistent with the nature and grade of the post.
- You will have access to our network of mentors in senior marketing roles across London, if desired.
Person Specification:
Qualifications: No specific qualification is required. We are particularly interested in applicants with advanced education, training, or experience in marketing, media, communications, healthcare, or other related fields.
Skills and Requirements:
- A genuine interest in health, wellbeing, and building inclusive communities that support people from all backgrounds.
- Experience or strong interest in copywriting and content creation for a range of formats (e.g. blogs, articles, social media posts, creative writing).
- Experience managing or supporting social media activity, including content planning and scheduling (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, or similar platforms; Hootsuite experience desirable).
- Basic analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret engagement or campaign performance data.
- Comfortable using digital tools, software packages, and basic data or content management systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of reliability and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality, particularly in a healthcare/charity setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
