Core-Asset Consulting is pleased to be supporting a leading investment firm in the recruitment of an Investment Operations Team Lead. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a newly established and fast-growing business at a formative stage, offering the chance to help shape its culture and operational infrastructure from the outset.

Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of Buy-side/Sell-side operations experience
  • Experience leading teams or a desire to progress into a team leadership role
  • Ability to understand and solve business problems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • A minimum 2.1 degree from a Russell Group University

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute daily control processes through reconciliations (positions, trades, and cash) across Equities, Fixed Income, Rates, Futures, Credit, and Commodities asset classes.
  • Lead a team of Operations Analysts, fostering high performance and career progression.
  • Provide extensive operational expertise and strategic input to the ongoing enhancement of business infrastructure, partnering with technology teams and external vendors to develop efficient, scalable processes across both existing and new product lines.
  • Investigate and resolve exceptions within electronic affirmation and matching platforms.
  • Maintain oversight of all post-trade activities performed by third-party administrators, ensuring robust controls are in place and that issues are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.
