Core-Asset Consulting is working with a leading technology business who is seeking a Content Editor to join their Edinburgh office on a contract until the end of the year.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative content team, producing clear, engaging and relevant content for professional audiences.
As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for creating and editing high-quality content across a range of channels.
You’ll work from detailed briefs, adapt your writing style according to different audiences and objectives, and ensure content is clear, accurate and consistent.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Writing for the web and/or other digital platforms.
- Working with content management systems.
- Creating or editing content for marketing purposes.
- Generating original content ideas and identifying subject matter that will engage and support your audience.
- Working with Google Analytics and other content performance measurement tools.
Core Responsibilities
- Creating and editing a variety of content for professional audiences.
- Producing content across formats including blog posts, in-depth guides, email communications, newsletters, landing pages, interactive content, printed materials and website copy.
- Editing content with precision, removing ambiguity and creating clarity while following established house style and tone of voice guidelines.
- Developing an understanding of the organisation’s products and functionality to explain them accurately through content.
- Following and contributing to content strategy across different channels.
- Supporting senior members of the content team with copy-editing and proofreading where required.
- Contributing ideas to content projects and idea-generation sessions.
- Creating content and project plans against detailed briefs from marketing colleagues.
- Working with stakeholders and collaborators across teams to gather the information required to deliver content to a high standard.
- Monitoring content performance, using relevant tools and data to understand the impact of content and identify opportunities to improve.
