Job Description

Our client, a global financial services firm in Glasgow, is recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join their business on a 6-12 month temporary basis.

As an HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic and operational HR advice to managers and employees across the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle.

Skills/Experience

  • A strong generalist HR background covering the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience providing HR advisory support and managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and credibility to advise managers at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Experience within financial services is desirable but not essential.
  • A CIPD qualification is preferred.
  • Core Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality HR advice and guidance across areas including absence and performance management, recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, professional development, promotion, compensation, immigration/relocation and other HR projects.
  • Coaching managers through complex employee relations matters, restructures and workforce planning activities.
  • Supporting year-end processes including performance reviews, promotion and compensation cycles.
  • Analysing people data and metrics to identify trends, insights and potential risks, helping business leaders make informed decisions.
  • Building strong relationships with HR colleagues and stakeholders across the UK and internationally.
  • Partnering with specialist teams across areas such as Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Employment Legal and International Services.
  • Keeping up to date with UK employment legislation and ensuring advice is delivered in line with relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
