Core3 is delighted to be working with a high-growth international organisation in Gatwick to recruit a Group Tax Manager. This is a broad in-house tax role with real ownership. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll become the internal lead for tax across the group, taking responsibility for UK corporate tax while also gaining exposure across international compliance, VAT, transfer pricing, employment taxes and wider tax governance.
This is an opportunity to step into a role where you can genuinely shape how tax is managed across the business. The organisation is looking to bring more tax expertise in-house, reduce reliance on external advisers and build stronger internal processes as it continues to grow. You'll have the autonomy to improve controls, strengthen reporting and create a more efficient approach to tax across multiple entities and jurisdictions. There's also a major finance systems transformation underway, giving you the chance to influence how tax requirements, controls and reporting are built into the future finance environment.
How you'll make an impact:
- Take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting across the group
- Lead quarterly tax reporting, provisions and cash tax forecasting
- Bring more tax activity in-house and reduce reliance on third-party advisers
- Oversee VAT, employment taxes and other indirect tax requirements
- Manage transfer pricing, withholding tax and tax-sensitive intercompany activity
- Coordinate international tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Strengthen tax governance, policies, controls and risk management
- Maintain accurate tax balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure the correct tax treatment of business activity
- Act as the key contact for auditors, tax authorities and external advisers
- Define tax requirements for a new finance system and support implementation activity
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve tax processes and reporting
Why you're a great fit:
- CTA qualified or equivalent
- Strong UK corporation tax experience
- Experience working across an international or multi-entity environment
- Broad exposure to areas such as VAT, transfer pricing, employment taxes and international compliance
- Confident taking ownership of tax rather than relying heavily on external advisers
- Strong tax governance and process improvement experience
- Comfortable working directly with senior finance stakeholders
- Experience gained within a leading accountancy practice would be highly relevant
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience supporting ERP or finance systems change would be valuable
- Commercially aware with the confidence to challenge and influence when needed
What you'll get in return:
- As Group Tax Manager, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a broad international tax remit and help shape the future tax capability of a growing organisation.
- £90,000 salary
- 20% bonus
- Hybrid working
- Gatwick location
- Direct exposure to the Finance Director
- Broad international tax responsibility
- Opportunity to bring more tax expertise in-house
- Involvement in a major finance systems transformation
- High levels of autonomy and ownership
