We're partnering with a fast growing, private equity backed international business to hire an FP&A Analyst with a genuine passion for data, analytics and technology. This isn't a traditional FP&A role. Sitting within Finance, you'll work with large and complex datasets, using Excel, Power Query, SQL and Power BI to extract, manipulate, reconcile and analyse data before turning it into meaningful financial and commercial insight. The business is also embracing AI within Finance, including extensive use of Claude, and is going through a wider transformation of its data and reporting environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Analysing and manipulating large financial and commercial datasets
- Extracting and transforming data using Excel, Power Query and SQL
- Building and maintaining reporting and dashboards in Power BI
- Performing detailed reconciliations across different systems and investigating variances down to source data
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Analysing revenue, pricing, KPIs and wider business performance
- Supporting complex royalty analysis across significant transaction volumes
- Contributing to management and Board reporting
- Using Claude and other AI tools to improve analysis, automate processes and work more efficiently
- Helping move Finance away from manual reporting towards a more automated and scalable data environment
The role will initially take ownership of regular reporting and analysis before progressing into increasingly complex projects and broader analytical work.
What we're specifically looking for:
- Previous experience within FP&A, Financial Analysis or a data heavy Finance role
- Advanced Excel, including experience manipulating large datasets
- Strong working knowledge of Power Query
- Experience using SQL to query or extract data
- Experience with Power BI and data visualisation
- Experience reconciling data between different systems and investigating discrepancies
- A solid understanding of financial information, including the P&L
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting or management reporting
- An interest in AI, ideally Claude or similar tools, and how it can be applied to Finance
- The ability to work independently and stay productive in a predominantly remote environment
ACA, ACCA or CIMA study is welcome, but the strength of your data and analytical skillset is more important than an accounting qualification.
