This Finance Administrator role is a 12-month fixed term contract, offering the chance to gain valuable experience within a busy finance team in Bristol. You will support key financial operations and play an important role in maintaining accurate systems and records.
As Finance Administrator, you will help keep financial processes organised, accurate and compliant. You will:
- Manage queries through the finance team mailbox and respond promptly
- Maintain financial system records and update account information
- Review and close completed records with zero balances
- Support internal financial control and compliance processes
- Maintain registers relating to financial commitments and surplus funds
- Process routine transactions including monthly interest postings
- Carry out regular file reviews to ensure accurate financial records
- Support data cleansing to improve system accuracy and reporting
- Update banking details and financial codes within finance systems
Essential Experience:
- Working in a busy office or administrative environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to financial data
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Desirable:
- Previous experience supporting a finance or accounting team
- Experience using financial or banking systems
- Exposure to regulated environments or financial compliance processes
