As an LCV Driver within our successful VW Commercial Sales Team, your role will involve collecting and delivering light commercial vehicles for our customers. General vehicle movement as required will also be part of this role.
It is essential that you have held a full UK drivers licence for a minimum of 5 years due to insurance restrictions. Ideally, you will have experience of driving Light Commercial Vehicles up to 3.5T and also be comfortable manoeuvring vehicles within a busy yard.
Working Hours: 8.00am to 4.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Salary: £26,436.80 per annum + Bonus potential of £400.00 per quarter upon reaching quarterly sales volume figures
Overtime is paid above basic hours worked and some Saturday working may be available – this must always be agreed in advance with your line manager.

What does the role involve?
- Timely and efficient vehicle deliveries as directed by the Sales Manager, including long distance vehicle deliveries
- Moving vehicles between Cordwallis Group sites (Heathrow, Maidenhead, Reading and Bicester)
- Collect vehicles requested on Dealer Transfer from UK Volkswagen Van Centres
- Assisting with vehicle preparations within the Sales Department.
- Ensuring that the forecourt and surrounding areas on the site are presentable and litter-free.
- Carry out weekly vehicle checks, as directed by Management.
- General duties within the showroom, as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Reporting all vehicle accidents, damages and faults promptly in accordance with company policy
- Always ensuring the security of customer vehicles and their property
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Full UK drivers licence, held for a minimum of 5 years
- Previous or current experience in a similar role
- Reliable, flexible, positive and professional
- A ‘Can-do’ attitude, with willingness to take on any task
- Good team player with the ability to plan and prioritise own work load
- Applicants must be over the age of 25 for insurance stipulations.
- No more than 6 points accepted for minor driving offenses; no DR10s.
