Cordus Law is a specialist legal practice, assisting veterans and active-duty service members secure compensation for injuries suffered during service. We are seeking a Solicitor, ideally with experience in military and/or industrial disease claims, to join our growing team. Post-litigation PI/EL/PL experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of military claims (pre- and post-litigation), corresponding with clients, insurers and other solicitors and liaising with Counsel and experts
  • Analysing evidence and set case strategies encompassing both technical and commercial considerations and advise clients accordingly
  • Preparing witness statements and reviewing evidence
  • Representing clients in court
  • Support and supervision of other fee earners and support staff where required
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance with company and regulatory (SRA) policies and procedures
  • Keeping up to date with law and practice

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid Practicing Certificate (SRA); 2–5 years PQE
  • Experience in military claims and/or industrial disease is desirable, however, post-litigation PI/EL/PL experience will be considered
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and client care skills
  • IT literate with working knowledge of case management software, ideally Proclaim
  • Flexibility, as working outside normal office hours may occasionally be required
