About Cordomus
Cordomus is a Wimbledon-based refurbishment company now specialising in high-quality bathroom renovations across London and Surrey. We are building small, reliable bathroom installation teams and are looking for an experienced Lead Bathroom Installer / Team Lead who can run bathroom projects on site day to day.
The Role
The Lead Bathroom Installer will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of bathroom installations. You will work from clear scopes, drawings and specifications, coordinate with our project manager, manage the site sequence and make sure the work is carried out cleanly, safely and to a high standard. Cordomus will provide or coordinate specialist electricians, high-quality tilers, large format slab installers and bespoke joinery support where required. However, the Lead Installer must be capable of keeping the core bathroom works moving properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the bathroom installation on site.
- Set out the works from drawings, scopes and specifications.
- Organise the daily sequence of works.
- Carry out and/or supervise bathroom strip-out, protection and preparation.
- Carry out and/or supervise first fix and second fix plumbing.
- Install baths, shower trays, basins, WCs, concealed cisterns, wall-hung sanitaryware, taps, valves and wastes.
- Carry out carpentry, boxing, framing, access panels and bathroom build-out works.
- Prepare walls and floors ready for tilers and finishing trades.
- Coordinate with electricians, tilers, plasterers, decorators and specialist installers.
- Identify site issues early and raise them with the project manager.
- Keep the site clean, tidy and protected.
- Provide daily updates and progress photos.
- Help manage snagging, final checks and handover.
- Maintain Cordomus’ standards for quality, communication and client care.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong bathroom installation experience.
- Good plumbing knowledge.
- Experience with concealed cisterns and wall-hung sanitaryware.
- Good carpentry, boxing and general building ability.
- Understanding of waterproofing, tanking and bathroom preparation.
- Ability to read drawings, scopes and specifications.
- Good sequencing and coordination skills.
- High standard of workmanship.
- Good communication with project managers, clients and other trades.
- Reliable, tidy and professional.
- Able to lead one or two other operatives on site.
