As a Senior Smart Buildings Consultant, you’ll have the opportunity to lead projects that shape the future of smart environments. What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll lead client-focused projects, develop innovative smart building designs, and ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. You’ll also be a trusted adviser to clients, guiding them through the possibilities that smart technologies can bring to their spaces.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with clients to design and implement digital workplace systems, data-driven optimisation, operationally efficient and sustainable solutions that meet their unique needs.
• Leading project delivery throughout the entire RIBA 0-7 process – from initial design through to final handover, including budget control, timelines, stakeholder engagement, and extracting requirements.
• Chairing design workshops and visioning sessions to develop value-focused designs right-sized to the client needs.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of smart systems, from AV and Security to Infrastructure and M&E.
• Supporting business development by participating in pitches and developing proposals that showcase Cordless’ expertise.
• Mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and developments, contributing to Cordless’ thought leadership through events and networking.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in smart building technology, integrated solution design, and engaging consultancy. Someone who is comfortable managing complex projects and knows how to get the best out of people, whether that be design team collaborators or key client stakeholders. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

• A desire to push the industry forward and keep Cordless on the bleeding-edge, while always delivering the best solutions for our clients.
• A rich understanding of the integrated components of a smart building, including areas such as Audio-Visual, Security, Sustainability, Networks, and M&E.
• A proven track record of design and integration of smart technologies in commercial real estate, including smart workplace, operations, and sustainability.
• Proven experience in leading projects, including budgets, timelines, and client expectations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to clients and project teams verbally and in documentation.
• Leadership capabilities, including mentoring and developing junior consultants.
• The ability to think strategically, ensuring that designs not only meet technical requirements but also align with the client’s broader goals.
