We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven professional to lead the full lifecycle of tenders, contracts, and pricing activities, with a focus on driving business growth and securing new opportunities. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Bids, Tenders & Proposals
- Lead the end-to-end management of bids and tenders, ensuring timely, compliant, and competitive submissions.
- Be the subject-matter expert in all tendering activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, legal, finance, marketing) to develop compelling, winning proposals.
- Analyse tender requirements and pricing strategies to optimise win rates and profitability.
- Maintain a repository of bid documentation and continuously improve proposal templates and processes.
- Pricing & Commercial Contracts
- Own and ensure adherence to the pricing strategy for the UK/IRE business to generate revenue growth.
- Oversee and develop innovative commercial offerings in collaboration with sales managers to secure new business opportunities.
- Drive compliance to contract lifecycles, renewals, amendments with all sales teams and wider stakeholders.
- Key Account Management
- Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of high-value, strategic customers & buying groups including NHS Supply Chain, managed care providers & private groups.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within these accounts to understand business needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic accounts, ensuring alignment and value delivery.
- Identify opportunities for growth in key accounts nationally across the legacy core and new innovative products.
- Additional Projects & Requirements
- Active involvement with both industry and society bodies such as ABHI, British Society of Interventional Cardiology etc to stay up to date on relevant market activities and reimbursement principles.
- Work alongside EHS experts to ensure Cordis is compliant with UK & Irish legislation with regards to procurement, sustainability and modern slavery assessments.
- Business Analytics – Analyse business data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic commercial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in business, supply chain or related field.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and contract law basics align with experience in bids/tenders management, pricing analysis, or sales support.
- Industry experience: Several years of experience in the medical device industry or a related healthcare sector.
- Commercial experience: Proven track record in sales, marketing, or account management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, pricing tools, and demonstrated abilities in business analytics, KPI tracking and reports creation.
