The Role
We’re looking for a Market Development Manager – Taxi & Private Hire who enjoys building relationships and generating new opportunities. This role is focused on supporting the sales team through outbound activity, early-stage relationship building, and pipeline development, while developing a strong understanding of the UK independent fleet market. It’s not about high-volume transactional calls — it’s about consistent, thoughtful outreach and building rapport over time. You’ll play an important role in helping create new opportunities, maintaining engagement with prospects, and supporting the wider sales process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Pipeline Generation & Outbound
- Develop and run targeted outreach campaigns to independent taxi and private hire operators across the UK
- Engage with gatekeepers and decision makers in a professional and structured way
- Book qualified meetings for the sales team
- Follow up and nurture prospects to maintain engagement
- Relationship & Market Development
- Build positive working relationships with operators
- Develop a solid understanding of the market and customer needs
- Share feedback and insights with the sales and product teams
- Pipeline & Sales Support
- Support the sales team in progressing early-stage opportunities
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM (HubSpot)
- Help ensure consistent follow-up and pipeline hygiene
- Sales Enablement & Marketing Support
- Support marketing and sales with customer insights and outreach feedback
- Contribute to messaging improvements and outreach templates

What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
- Comfortable communicating via phone, email, and video
- Experience with outbound activity or lead generation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple conversations and opportunities
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn
Tools
- Experience with CRM systems (eg HubSpot)
- Bonus: exposure to tools like Notion, Mailchimp, or AI assistants
