Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Solicitor role based in Dorking. This role is a maternity cover role which will be for up to 12 months from October 2026. The Solicitor will manage personal injury matters. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in correspondence with insurers, opposing counsel, and other parties. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues and support staff to ensure cases are progressed efficiently, with a strong emphasis on client communication, clear explanation of legal options, and coordination of medical and rehabilitation services where appropriate. The Solicitor will also contribute to firm‑wide initiatives to enhance service quality and maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Law, with qualification or eligibility to practice as a Solicitor in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience or demonstrable interest in Personal Injury Law, with the ability to manage a varied injury‑related caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear client correspondence and precise drafting.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize workloads, and work collaboratively within a small firm environment.
