Responsibilities
The candidate must be able to:
- Manage a varied case load of personal injury matters from fast-track to intermediate track.
- Manage a variety of different types of personal injury matters including road traffic accident claims, employers liability claims, occupiers liability claims, public liability claims, motor insurance bureau untraced and uninsured claims, criminal injuries compensation authority claims, package holiday claims and clinical negligence claims.
- Draft proceedings
- Issue proceedings
- Manage matters post issue to trial.
- Manage the matter to a trial and attending trial with counsel.
- Negotiate to settle in line with clients instructions at various points throughout the life of the case.
- Work to a target on a variety of different key performance indicators.
We are looking for candidates with 3-6 years PQE representing claimants. We require candidates to have a strong interest in the practice area. They must have an excellent understanding of the civil procedure rule and the pre-action protocols. They also must have experience of working with minimal supervision on personal injury matters.
