As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will support the team through a busy and important period of transformation at William Reed while delivering a clear and consistent experience for candidates and managers. You will partner with hiring managers, build trust through understanding their needs and bring great talent into the business.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring William Reed continues to attract collaborative and pioneering talent who will help us achieve our ambitious growth strategy and continue to empower the global food and drink industry with insight, inspiration and connection. This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing the full recruitment process from initial brief with the hiring manager to verbal offer, and liaising with the Assistant People Partner to send out formal offer letters.
  • Reviewing applications and shortlisting candidates, conducting phone screenings to assess suitability, coordinating and developing tailored interview processes, including designing structuring interviews and relevant assessment tasks, and gathering candidate feedback following interviews.
  • Partnering with Hiring Managers to gain a deep understanding of a role’s requirements and providing guidance on best practices, including interview techniques and unconscious bias awareness.
  • Drafting engaging, inclusive and accurate job adverts to attract top talent.
  • Actively sourcing candidates via online tools, and through our internal candidate database.
  • Managing candidates communications to ensure a positive candidate experience and representing the company, our culture and opportunities effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience working in a busy administrative role managing multiple priorities at once. Some experience in recruitment (in‑house or agency) would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills to effectively manage multiple recruitment processes and competing deadlines, with consistent attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building skills to cultivate effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fantastic communication skills to work in a collaborative environment, effectively communicating with candidates, team members, colleagues and external stakeholders from varying levels of seniority and diverse backgrounds.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure or when priorities shift.
  • Comfortable in situations with a requirement to think critically, question and determine when to seek guidance or elevate a potential problem.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and familiarity with using databases and systems.
  • Discreet and Professional. An awareness of confidentiality and data protection (e.g. GDPR) is essential. Knowledge of employment law, recruitment processes and HR practices would be advantageous.
  • Inquisitive and can ask the right questions to be able to speak passionately and promote opportunities and William Reed accurately.
