This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR/recruitment professional looking to focus on partner hires. The team is led by the Head of People Advisory and consists of a Manager, to whom this role will be supporting. Alongside the day-to-day, you will be encouraged to take on project work and make connections across the wider firm. This may include volunteering to sit on one of the firm's EDI committees, providing and implementing ideas to improve the recruitment experience, and contributing to our external and internal recruitment pages, e.g. LinkedIn and the Intranet. The role will suit someone who has experience in a busy recruitment team, whether in-house or in an agency environment. It could also suit someone who is wanting to make the step up to Advisor level, having gained solid experience as an Assistant, or equally an experienced Advisor. Whilst experience in partner recruitment will be beneficial it is not essential. Law firm or consulting firm experience would be greatly advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting the Partner Recruitment Manager in the delivery of Partner recruitment activity across UK and international offices.
- Assisting with the coordination of Partner hiring processes from initial approach through to offer and onboarding, ensuring a professional and discreet candidate experience.
- Managing process flow and documentation across multiple Partner searches to ensure momentum is maintained and milestones are met.
- Acting as an operational point of contact for Partner candidates, agencies and internal stakeholders, supporting communication and coordination throughout recruitment processes.
- Coordinating interview scheduling, feedback collation and tracking of process stages in a timely and structured manner.
- Preparing market mapping, research and initial target lists to support proactive Partner hiring, aligned with agreed priorities.
- Conducting research into competitor activity, team moves, practice developments and geographic growth areas to support hiring activity.
- Supporting direct sourcing activity by conducting initial outreach to prospective Partner candidates ahead of substantive discussions led by the Partner Recruitment Manager.
- Supporting agency-led Partner hires by coordinating administrative and process aspects of agency searches.
- Logging and tracking candidate submissions, flagging duplicate introductions and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinating agency briefings, preparation materials and follow-up actions, attending meetings alongside the Partner Recruitment Manager where appropriate.
- Supporting Terms of Business processes to ensure agencies are compliant prior to candidate introductions.
- Preparing updates, summaries and briefing materials to support senior stakeholder discussions and decision-making.
- Acting as a liaison point between Partner candidates, agencies, HR, Risk and other internal teams throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Ensuring recruitment activity is conducted in line with firm governance, internal approval frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of Partner recruitment activity, including pipeline status, approvals and relevant documentation.
- Coordinating conflict checks by liaising with the Risk team, candidates and agencies to obtain and record required information.
- Coordinating with People Administration and HR colleagues to support accurate and timely issue of offer documentation.
- Supporting Partner onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new joiners and internal stakeholders.
- Producing regular pipeline updates and tracking reports to support planning and oversight.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of Partner recruitment processes, tools and documentation.
- Maintaining the ATS and recruitment trackers for reporting and audit purposes.
- Taking responsibility for own professional development and maintaining up-to-date recruitment best practices.
Skills/Experience
- Ideally 4+ years of experience within HR/talent acquisition.
- Legal or consulting firm experience.
- Experience of partner recruitment gained in an agency and/or in-house environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of using an ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter and market mapping software would be beneficial.
- Ability to manage projects and initiatives with minimal guidance.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and creatively.
