We have a great opportunity for a dynamic Head of Talent Acquisition to lead our Talent Acquisition function. This role is a critical leadership position, responsible for building and executing a talent strategy that positively impacts our business and culture. The ideal candidate is a great collaborator, an inspiring leader, and an exceptional communicator who can influence and partner with all levels of the organisation. This is a hybrid position, primarily remote based with regular visits to our office in London and a future office in Leeds as and when required to collaborate with our leadership and other employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Candidate Attraction: Attract and identify suitable candidates for vacancies via direct hiring methods. Maintain a Preferred Supplier List of recruitment partners to supplement direct sourcing. Adhere to recruitment budget as approved in each budget year. Deliver hires in a timely fashion in accordance with agreed KPIs. Where required provide market intelligence, scope candidate profiles and availability for roles in different locations to inform workforce planning decisions.
- Candidate Experience: Lead the TA team and train/advise managers to ensure candidate communication is clear, consistent, regular, professional and personal. Ensure roles and the business are presented in a positive, appealing but realistic fashion. Always be transparent and set appropriate expectations around the process for each role including stages, timeframes and package. Provide a quality interview experience with candidates well briefed, clearly organised, and providing them with relevant, constructive and timely feedback afterwards.
- Hiring Manager Experience: Advise managers on market conditions, process and interview best practice. Provide managers with clear briefings and regular updates by multiple means on their vacancies. Clearly communicate standard manager and TA team SLAs for providing feedback and delivering actions. Deliver quality candidates for managers to review and interview, who meet realistic vacancy requirements, and who understand expectations of the role and any interview requirements.
- Employer and Talent Branding: Develop content that promotes the business, its departments and roles to support TA activities. Develop a positive and appealing online reputation for the business on agreed sites/resources. Drive social media campaigns to support individual recruitment campaigns and the overall online reputation of the business. Produce quality and appealing job adverts that are free from errors. Arrange attendance at careers fairs and other outreach activities as appropriate and approved.
- Business Communication: Provide reports and other updates to departments/hiring managers/division leaders as agreed. Contribute to periodic management review packs (typically quarterly) that demonstrate TA progress and performance in their area, including any lessons learned summaries. Regularly update the wider business on trends, opportunities and performance as appropriate. Use employer branding activities internally to promote the team’s work.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise: Significant experience in Talent Acquisition leadership roles with some experience in a technology or professional services business. Significant experience operating as a Business Partner or equivalent. Demonstrable experience of delivering effective TA-related change projects and improvements. Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to influence at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills. Curious and data-driven.
