CORD Café by Le Cordon Bleu is a high-end, Parisian-style café, seeking a passionate, driven, and experienced Café Manager to lead our flagship venue on Fleet Street in Central London.
About the Role
The Café Manager plays a critical role in the success of CORD café, overseeing all aspects of daily operations. This position requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about artisan coffee, quality food, and delivering warm yet professional customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining the highest operational standards.
Reports to: CORD General Manager / CORD Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the café
- Ensure fast, friendly, and personalised service always
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and enhance the café’s reputation
- Consistently achieve very high guest satisfaction scores
- Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality at all times
- Work closely with chefs and bakers on seasonal promotions and new product launches
- Follow up the annual café events calendar on a monthly basis
- Recruit, train, and develop café service team members
- Deliver regular product knowledge and service training to the team
- Train staff on drinks preparation and the correct use of coffee equipment
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers, including managing purchase orders
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and expense records
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Support human resource objectives in collaboration with the General Manager
About You
- Proven experience as a Café Manager in an artisan or premium café environment (essential)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Passion for quality coffee, food, and customer experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong commercial awareness and operational discipline
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-standard environment
