Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day compliance, management and maintenance of the park, playgrounds, sports facilities and Grade II listed community buildings.
- Lead a small, multi‑skilled Grounds & Facilities team – recruitment, development and building a strong team culture.
- Manage contractors and capital works, from routine repairs to major building projects.
- Participate on the Senior Management Team to shape the charity’s strategic plans.
- Administer the grounds & facilities budget of approximately £400K.
- Operate as one of four Designated Safeguarding Leads, ensuring child protection across the site.
- Develop and implement quality systems and structures to provide consistent, high‑quality facility management.
- Balance strategic vision with hands‑on operational oversight when required.
- Set high standards, communicate the importance of quality, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in facilities management for complex, public or heritage sites.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and lead a small, multi‑skilled team.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, safety, safeguarding obligations and building regulations.
- Experience managing a multi‑hundred‑thousand‑pound budget.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to set and maintain high standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and external partners.
- Proficiency in applying systems and structure to achieve consistent, high quality service delivery.
