We support children and young people from birth to independence, creating a change that lasts a lifetime. Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

About the Role

Coram Group’s Human Resources team sits at the heart of the organisation and has a reputation for excellent customer service and advice. As the organisation continues to grow we are looking for an HR apprentice to support the work of the team. We are looking for an enthusiastic ‘can do’ person who wishes to pursue a career in HR. As part of the apprenticeship you will gain a Level 3 CIPD certificate in Human Resource Practice which will consist of both classroom based training and work based experience.

We are seeking someone who has good inter-personal skills, a willingness to learn and can be flexible in order to support the needs of a busy department. Previous experience of working within a HR team is not essential but you must be able to show experience of working in an administrative environment. Working as part of this busy team there will be plenty of opportunities for the successful candidate to get involved in a wide range of activities and get a truly rounded view of HR. The apprenticeship will provide you with an excellent grounding for what will hopefully be a long successful career in HR.

The HR Apprenticeship scheme at Coram has had a proven track record of success with 3 of our current team members having originally successfully completed the scheme and gone on to become permanent team members in Administrator and Coordinator roles.
