We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join Coram Voice as our new Children's Rights Manager in the West Midland. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated team of advocates and deliver direct, ongoing advocacy and independent visitor services to children and young people across a range of settings.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of advocates to ensure high-quality service delivery that aligns with relevant standards and codes of practice.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs so the team remains up-to-date on children's rights, relevant legislation, and best practice.
- Supervise, develop, and manage team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure staff compliance with organisational policies and standards.
Direct Advocacy and Service Delivery
- Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people as needed, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are championed across all settings, including secure children's homes.
- Oversee the delivery of commissioned services, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and organisational goals.
- Develop and implement innovative service approaches to address the changing needs of children and young people.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance advocacy services across Sandwell, Walsall & Wolverhampton (Black Country).
- Champion children's rights, ensuring that services meet national standards and deliver the best outcomes for children in care or facing challenges.
Eligibility and Experience
- Committed to empowering young people and experienced in advocacy, safeguarding, and service management.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing teams in a charitable or social care environment.
Working Conditions
- Home based with travel across Sandwell, Walsall & Wolverhampton (Black Country).
