The predicted salary is between 2500 - 2500 £ per month.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Social Workers who have experience of carrying out adoption assessments. Although you will work independently as an external consultant on a freelance basis, you will be supervised and supported in your work by a Practice Manager and will be invited to training events and external consultant forums on a regular basis.

Requirements are:

  • Good assessment and report writing skills
  • Competent IT skills
  • To be prepared to work face-to-face and occasionally virtually with prospective adopters
  • Full driving licence and prepared to travel
  • 2-years post-qualifying Social Work experience
  • Registration with SW England

The role will include initial visits to prospective adopters, completing full adoption assessments and writing AARs (Adoption Assessment Reports), reporting to Panel, and occasional additional work to support our families, such as attending reviews or matching panels. There is an agreed fee for completing this work and travel expenses are paid, as well as occasional essential accommodation.

£2,500 for AAR (plus mileage); £200 for Initial Visit (plus mileage)
