Overview Our client, is looking for a reliable and proactive Handy Person to work one day per week, assisting with various household maintenance tasks at their rural private residence near Oxford. This is a flexible position with a variety of tasks both inside and outside the house. The ideal individual will be a Mr./Ms. Fix-It with a broad range of skills and the ability to tackle different odd jobs as needed. Please note, the family employ a gardener. Job duties Responsibilities of the Handy Person near Oxford include: Perform general maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors as assigned by the family, including but not limited to basic electrical and plumbing work, hanging paintings, and minor repairs Maintain household systems, such as cleaning gutters, fixing garage doors, and checking for general wear and tear Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of attention to detail and in a timely manner Communicate with the family to understand priorities and manage expectations Candidates must be/have: Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role, with knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical work, and general home repairs Must have your own tools and equipment for general maintenance tasks Ability to tackle a wide range of tasks, including both simple fixes and more complex maintenance work Must be able to safely use tools and climb ladders for tasks like gutter cleaning A proactive, reliable, and friendly and flexible attitude Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently A valid driving licence and have own car (as the location is rural) Able to work on a self-employed basis Hours One day per week (8 hours). The family is flexible regarding which day the work takes place, but the agreed-upon day will need to be mutually arranged and fixed on a permanent basis. Location Near Oxford, Oxfordshire.
