- Join an established team and help us improve how People services are delivered
We’re looking for an experienced Lead People Coordinator to join our People Operations team at Cora Health.
This is a varied senior coordination role covering employee lifecycle administration, recruitment and onboarding, workforce compliance, medical revalidation support, HR systems and day-to-day support for our People Coordinators.
You’ll join an established and collaborative team, helping us deliver an accurate, responsive and well-organised service to colleagues, candidates and managers.
You’ll also have opportunities to contribute to the continued development of our People services.
This could include helping to improve processes, developing resources for our colleague hub, updating guidance and templates, and supporting improvements to our systems and ways of working.
Compliance and revalidation
Workforce compliance and medical revalidation support are important parts of this role.
You’ll coordinate and quality-check activity including
- Right to work and identity checks.
- DBS checks and references.
- Occupational health clearance.
- Professional registration and qualification checks.
- Employment gaps and role-specific compliance requirements.
- Compliance records, trackers and supporting evidence.
You’ll also act as Cora’s revalidation support officer, providing administrative coordination for medical revalidation and helping ensure actions, records and deadlines are properly maintained.
You don’t need to arrive as an expert in every aspect of medical revalidation, but you will need strong attention to detail, confidence working with regulated processes and the ability to follow up actions and raise concerns promptly.
Supporting the People Operations team
The Lead People Coordinator is the first point of day-to-day support for our People Coordinators when they encounter a more complex query, an unfamiliar process or competing priorities.
This is not a formal line management role. You will, however, provide practical support by:
- Answering process questions and helping colleagues identify the right next step.
- Quality-checking more complex or higher-risk work.
- Helping the team maintain visibility of priorities and deadlines.
- Sharing knowledge and supporting the induction and development of colleagues.
- Escalating risks or capacity concerns to the People Operations & Resourcing Partner.
- Encouraging a calm, supportive and consistent approach across the team.
It’s a good opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others and is ready to take on greater responsibility without moving into formal people management.
Improving how we work
As Cora continues to develop, there will be opportunities to support practical improvements across People Operations.
- Developing and maintaining content for our colleague hub.
- Improving process guides, templates, checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Mapping existing processes and identifying unnecessary steps or duplication.
- Supporting updates to HR systems, service desk workflows and automated processes.
- Testing changes and helping new processes become part of day-to-day working.
- Creating clearer guidance for colleagues and managers.
- Using feedback and recurring queries to identify where processes could be simpler or more effective.
You won’t be expected to redesign everything alone.
You’ll work alongside the People Operations & Resourcing Partner and wider People Team to turn agreed improvements into practical resources and processes.
Your wider responsibilities
You’ll also
- Coordinate more complex employee lifecycle activity, including starters, contractual changes, family leave, internal moves and leavers.
- Prepare and review routine People documentation.
- Support, offers and onboarding, particularly where cases are urgent, regulated or more complex.
- Maintain accurate information across HR, onboarding and service desk systems.
- Support routine data-quality checks, reporting and audit preparation.
- Coordinate accurate payroll information for starters, leavers and employee changes.
- Respond to queries from colleagues, candidates, managers and external providers.
- Support People projects, mobilisations and organisational changes where required.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain appropriate records.
The job description describes the role as a senior operational position that provides escalation support, quality assurance, practical team guidance and project support, while remaining distinct from a People Advisor, People Partner or formal line management post.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have experience in HR, People Operations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance or employee lifecycle administration.
You’ll be comfortable managing detailed work, keeping track of deadlines and dealing with queries that do not always fit neatly into a standard process.
You’ll bring
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle, recruitment, onboarding or compliance processes.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence maintaining employee records, spreadsheets, trackers and reports.
- Experience using HR systems or other case-management and workflow systems.
- The judgement to know when to resolve, check or elevate an issue.
- Clear and supportive communication skills.
- Confidence helping colleagues understand and follow processes.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and follow work through to completion.
- An interest in improving processes, guidance and colleague experience.
- Discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or equivalent practical experience, would be welcomed.
Experience in healthcare, regulated services, professional registration, medical revalidation, DBS, visa sponsorship or organisations delivering services to NHS partners would be useful, but isn’t essential.
This role offers the opportunity to
- Join an established and supportive People Operations team.
- Build broader experience across the employee lifecycle, onboarding, compliance, systems and payroll coordination.
- Take responsibility for important compliance and revalidation activity.
- Become a trusted source of practical support for other coordinators.
- Contribute to the development of our colleague hub and People resources.
- Help improve processes and ways of working as the organisation evolves.
- Develop experience in operational leadership without immediately taking on formal line management.
It’s a strong next step for an experienced People Coordinator or HR Administrator who is ready for greater variety, responsibility and involvement in improving how a People service operates.
