We are now seeking to appoint a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Science to join our dedicated team and contribute to the continued success and ongoing improvement of the school.

As a girls’ school, we work hard to promote the value of STEM subjects and consequently Science is a very popular subject across our school community. We are keen to recruit a teacher to join our Science Department who can support our students at GCSE and A Level. In Key Stage 4 we offer both separate and combined pathways for GCSE students and at Key Stage 5 we deliver A-level Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as currently offering Applied Science BTEC.

The department’s results are consistently strong and continue to improve year on year with 100% of students receiving grade 5 and above in separate sciences, 63% achieving grade 4 and above in combined science and 70% achieving grade 4 and above in science overall. Over 75% of separate students achieved grades 9-7 across the three sciences. A large number of our A level and BTEC students progress into science-based pathways at University such as Midwifery, Medicine, Neuroscience, Physics and Astronomy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biomedical Science.

We are looking to recruit a full time / part time Teacher of Science, ideally with A level Chemistry and preferably some BTEC applied science experience, who will join a highly skilled, energetic and passionate team, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
