Salary - £27,000 9 month FTC Monday to Friday 40 hour week. Coppice is a market-leading and international supplier of aluminium food packaging, renowned for innovation, quality and service. As we continue with our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance our team on an exciting journey.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that your daily tasks are completed efficiently and for the smooth operation of the Purchasing department. As a Production Repack Planner, you will plan and schedule the Repack / Factored value stream, monitor supply flow, and identify shortages or bottlenecks. You must evaluate customer demand and plan accordingly to meet required delivery dates. You will be the point of contact for suppliers and work colleagues across all departments, communicating via phone and in person. You will support managers and employees through various tasks, organize systems, and update databases. Daily liaising with suppliers, customers, sales, production, and warehouse teams is essential. You will also run and update reports and undertake additional administrative duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Run and update daily reports
  • Update supplier delivery schedules
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers according to MRP to meet production needs
  • Review and monitor supplier order books, updating Epicor as needed
  • Schedule meetings between teams, managers, and departments
  • Respond to inquiries and information requests
  • Collaborate with Managers to plan daily activities
  • Investigate and resolve issues across departments
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required
  • Update systems accurately and promptly
  • Manage multiple projects
  • Answer and direct calls
  • Contribute to team efforts to achieve results
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, leveraging technology for efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Liaise with sales to determine customer requirements
  • Develop and manage the production schedule aligned with customer demand dates
  • Determine material, equipment, and labour needs
  • Prepare performance reports and resolve production issues
  • Maintain and communicate the daily plan and related documents
  • Adjust plans in response to changes in customer demand
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and technological adoption
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Assist with any other duties necessary for the business
