About this Role
Part-time, 13.5 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, 8.45am-3.30pm.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiasticand caring Advanced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Coppice ValleyPrimary School.
This is an important role supporting children todevelop the skills, confidence and independence they need to achieve their fullpotential. Working closely with teachers and other colleagues, you will providehigh-quality support to help pupils access learning, engage fully in thecurriculum and make progress.
As an Advanced Teaching Assistant, you willtake greater responsibility for delivering, adapting and reviewing learningactivities, targeted interventions and personalised programmes. You will useyour experience and professional judgement to respond to pupils' individualneeds, help remove barriers to learning and support their academic, social andemotional development.
The post also includes Midday SupervisoryAssistant duties where you will help to ensure pupils are safe and supportedduring lunchtime, promote positive behaviour and social interaction, andcontribute to an enjoyable and inclusive lunchtime environment.

About You
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or is willing to work towards one
- Has experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age
- Can adapt approaches and resources to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Builds positive and respectful relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
- Has high expectations for pupils and a strong commitment to inclusion
Knowledge of the primary curriculum andexperience of supporting pupils with additional needs would be advantageous.
