Maintenance Engineer in Leeds

Maintenance Engineer Location : Keighley, BD21 4BZ Salary : Competitive, DOE Contract : Full-time, Permanent Keep our operation running at its best! We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our production equipment safe, reliable and performing at its best. You'll be hands-on, solving mechanical and electrical faults, driving preventative maintenance and helping us continuously improve how we operate. What you'll be doing • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment and site services. • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime. • Use root cause analysis to prevent recurring faults and improve equipment reliability. • Support installations, modifications and improvement projects. • Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure work meets H&S, GMP, Quality and BRC standards. • Work closely with Production, Quality and Operations to keep performance on track. • Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, waste, energy use and maintenance costs. • Maintain high standards of 5S, housekeeping and engineering best practice. What you'll bring • Recognised Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience. • Manufacturing maintenance experience with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. • Experience with both PPM and reactive maintenance. • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis ability. • Good understanding of safe systems of work and engineering standards. • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. PLC fault-finding, CMMS, FMCG/packaging experience and Lean/Continuous Improvement knowledge would be an advantage.
