This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilise their accounts experience within a dynamic business where freight or logistics experience would be highly advantageous. Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounts duties, with a particular focus on purchase ledger, sales ledger and the accurate processing of freight-related invoices and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices, including freight and shipping costs
  • Raising sales invoices and supporting credit control activities
  • Reconciling supplier, customer and freight accounts
  • Matching invoices against shipments, rates and supporting documentation
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
  • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team as required
About You:
  • Previous experience within an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • Ideally experience working within the freight, logistics, shipping or supply chain sector
  • Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and account reconciliations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive approach
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 depending on experience

Location: Sunbury upon Thames

Hours: Full-time, office based
